Fits ("we", "the app") identifies clothing in videos and photos you share with it and shows where to buy similar items. This policy explains what we collect and why. The short version: we collect what the product needs to work, and we don't sell it.

What we collect

• Content you submit. Links to public TikTok/Instagram posts you share to Fits, or photos you upload directly. We process video frames, captions, and public comments from those posts to identify clothing items.
• Account data. An anonymous device identifier by default. If you sign in with Apple, we store the identifier Apple provides and — only if you choose to share it — your email address.
• Usage data. Scan history, saved items and boards, and taps on retailer links (used for affiliate attribution and to improve match quality).
• Push tokens. If you enable notifications, we store your device's push token to tell you when a scan is ready.

How it's processed

Scans are processed by service providers acting on our behalf: Google (Gemini) for image analysis, SerpAPI for visual product search, Apify for retrieving the public post you shared, Cloudflare for hosting and storage, and RevenueCat/Apple for subscriptions. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Affiliate links

Retailer links in Fits may be affiliate links — we may earn a commission when you buy through them, at no cost to you. Match results are never influenced by commission rates — a match is shown because it matches.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your personal data.
• We don't use your photos or scans to advertise to you.
• We don't post anything to your social accounts — Fits only reads public posts you explicitly share to it.

Retention and deletion

Your scans and closet stay until you delete them. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) permanently removes everything that identifies you: your account, email, devices, closet, boards, and any share pages you created.

Scan results themselves — which clothing items were identified in which public posts, and anonymous retailer-link clicks — are retained with no link to you. We use this aggregate data to improve match quality and understand fashion trends.
